Your privacy at PawseTV

Updated September 7, 2026. PawseTV is a pet video discovery app operated by Ryan Houpt. This page explains the information used to run your feed.

Your account and feed

If you create an account, we store your name, email address, sign-in provider identifier, and profile image when supplied by that provider. Email passwords are stored as one-way hashes. Login sessions can include your IP address, browser information, and security timestamps. We use this information to sign you in and protect your account.

We store the pets you follow, the posts you have seen, and browsing-session timestamps to put new posts from followed pets first and avoid repeating videos. Guests are identified by an essential browser cookie. When you sign in, your guest follows and viewing history transfer to your account.

Cookies and service providers

We use essential cookies for guest identity and sign-in, and browser storage for your sound, details, and privacy choices. PawseTV runs on Railway with a PostgreSQL database. These services process information needed to host the app. If account emails are enabled, our email provider Resend processes your email address and message to deliver verification and password-reset links.

Video platforms

PawseTV uses YouTube API Services to discover public video metadata and displays original YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram players. Public TikTok and Instagram links are checked using their official embed services. Those platforms receive information such as your IP address and browser details when their images or players load. They may use cookies, collect viewing activity, and display advertising under their own policies. PawseTV does not download or rehost their videos.

Read the Google Privacy Policy, TikTok Privacy Policy, and the Instagram Privacy Policy. Apple sign-in shares your account identifier, your name when first provided, and your email address or the private relay address you choose. Google sign-in requests basic identity information; it does not read your YouTube subscriptions, Gmail, or private files. You can revoke Google access in your Google account permissions.

Creator lists and your choices

If you paste a list of creator handles, it is sent to our server for matching and then discarded. Only pets you choose to follow are saved. We do not import the accounts you follow from a personal Instagram or TikTok profile URL.

You can unfollow pets at any time and clear viewing history from About PawseTV. Your account and saved feed remain until you delete them or ask us to delete them. To request a copy or deletion of your data, or ask a privacy question, contact rehoupt@gmail.com. We may need to confirm that you own the account before fulfilling the request. Signing out does not delete your account.

PawseTV does not sell account information or send it to advertisers. Embedded video platforms apply their own data practices. Security and service logs are used to operate and troubleshoot the app.
